Perles, Joseph

(1835-94)
   German rabbi and scholar. He was born in Baja, Hungary. He served as rabbi in Posen, and later in Munich. He wrote studies of Syriac, medieval literature, biblical exegesis and Hebrew and Aramaic lexicography and philology.
